Autumn and winter light turns taking pictures into a challenge every year. At least if you try to photograph indoors without artificial light.
I made this tunic for Melisande in June, but I never took pictures of it. But the color fits nicely into the autumn color palette. The short sleeves make me shiver, though. The pictures are not that great, but I like how the light looks. It’s this special angle of the sun, the golden light and the different browns together with her pale skin and the red hair.
She looks perfectly dressed for Australia then! Love that dress, and the fabric is gorgeous!
Thanks! I take it it’s not that cold where you are then :). I envy you!
You captured a beautiful atmosphere, the colours and lighting remind me of paintings in a way. 🙂 Love the tunic as well, it goes lovely with Melisande’s hair and skin.
Thank you! The only thing missing to complete the atmosphere would be those thin cobwebs that glint in the sunlight.
They are painted with the light. 🙂
She looks wonderful in these colours.
Thank you! I agree, earth tones suit her very well.
