Queenie has some new clothes. And since the dress looks a bit like those called “skater dress” I thought I’d make a skateboard for her. I have seen fingerboards, they are all over ebay, but they are just about 10cm long. Probably perfect for Barbies, but Queenie needs something a bit larger. My dream would have been to make her look like Ko Hyojoo, but all they have in common is their country of birth. Maybe I should have tried to hang Queenie somewhere to pose her on the board, but these pictures have to do ;).

First I cut the form and let it sit in warm water for a while. The material (wood pulp board) can be bent without breaking when wet. The wheels are cable sleeves I attached to a meat skewer. A pin and some silver spray later and it’s ready to roll. The black top is some glued on black foil.

Queenie will never be as elegant as Ko Hyojoo, but at least her dress looks nice πŸ™‚

Roux complained, she wanted one too. A dress, I mean. Her’s is more of a long top.

And there she is.

  1. Cool skateboard! Love how you created it, and the wheels! The dresses are looking great on the girls too. Next, a skateboard ramp for Queenie to practice on? πŸ™‚

  2. So cool! *_* You always amaze me. I checked Ko Hyojoo’s YT and she is so beautiful. It seems so easy when she rides her board… I would break something for sure. xD And I like her clothes. Great inspiration.
Getting bak to your girls – I love Queenie look. And the last photo, of Roux is gorgeous.

    1. Thank you! It does look easy, doesn’t it? But it isn’t, I still have a scar at my knee from trying. Long time ago. Have you looked for “finger boards”? They should work perfectly for Barbie.

      1. I think so too. I even had one in my basket but than I needed to buy something else. But I remember… πŸ˜‰
