Dot, dot, Dots

Dots complained bitterly that I bought such a lot of fabric WITH DOTS for my mask sewing project and made nothing for her. And she’s right, I am very ashamed.
Now she’s happy- she has a new dress with biiiig dots. I need to shorten the hem of the skirt, there are still some marks showing. I cut it last night and didn’t see the little white marks from the fabric’s edge. My bad. She is not the type for lace, and lace doesn’t go with the pattern, else I might just have covered it with some sort of trim.

She even helped me untangling the elastic band. Very nice of her- but I am afraid the knots are still there…

  1. Lovely dress Mia, I love polka dots myself. 🙂 There is something about dots and checks, they always look fresh and clean, I guess because they are uncomplicated. Nice to see this little girl again too!

  2. Dots' dress is adorable. I don't see any marks on the fabric–other than the big white dots–but I'll take your word for it that they're there. If you don't want to use lace, maybe a border of plain white would work. I don't know which is more trouble, adding a border or taking up the hem.

  3. Thank you. The marks are just those little pin-pricks which are usually on the selvage. I think taking up the hem will look best.

  4. That dress is perfect for her, the colour and the big polka dots.
I'm a big fan of dotty fabrics, but think they're not that easy to find around here.
    Hugs xx

  5. Thank you! Usually I wouldn't choose such a big pattern for such a small doll, but Dots loves dots in every form and size. She won. 😀
