Since I built the bird feeder the kids watched all the birds visiting my garden. They learned all their names and Dots decided they needed a warm place to sleep. That’s why I built a couple of nest boxes as well.

So cute! I love Dots' sweater. I don't remember seeing it before–is it new? Good work on the nest box, although you probably won't find real inhabitants until Spring. Then you'll have the excitement of baby birds in the garden.
Thank you :). I made her sweater last year. It will serve as a winter sleeping box until spring, and I hope some blue tits will move in. We'll see :). I am working on a coat at the moment, but I couldn't finish it for this post. Bloody fingers, a hand sewing mishap…
I love their outfits! And the photos
Very sweet photos Mia, but that bird is big enough for those kids to pop in the oven for Christmas dinner. 🙂 I hope you have many birds visit your garden to enjoy the home & nesting box you have built.
Big hugs,
X
Ouch! I hope you didn't get blood stains on your fabric. (Been there, done that.) I don't hand-sew unless it's absolutely necessary, like for tiny curves. Good luck with it. I hope your fingers feel better soon.
Thank you, I hope the bird didn't read that… But since it's a real bird sized nest box, a big bird looked better- and it's the only one I have :). At least artificial, there are loads of birds in my garden.
Thank you 🙂
