This girl arrived after two weeks in customs. I was a bit worried because the tracking didn’t show any updates for over a week, but after two weeks she arrived eventually at my local customs office.
I had her larger sister on my wish list, but since I just don’t have the space for any more large dolls I was quite exited when I read that she would be released as FID next. I checked at the usual FID opening and release date and she wasn’t up. And I thought my wallet would be safe for another round ;-). But I am glad my friend balljointedwoman saw that she just arrived late and told me – and here she is.
While this girl has a very impressive profile, she looks a bit anonymous in frontal view. At least without a face-up. But I have seen enough of her larger sister to know that she is quite versatile, and I am looking forward to painting her. She will have to wait for a while, though.
The dark “scratch” on her eye is not a scratch, it’s a stray cat hair I didn’t notice when I took the pictures. My cat loves the dolls and gave her a welcoming sweep. She is normal skin and has the medium bust with the original body.
Lovely profile. She's not totally anonymous in front view. I like that she has a real nose, unlike some doll sculpts that give you a tiny ski jump nose–as if anyone actually looked like that. I can't wait to see how you paint her.
I'm glad you're glad I noticed she was up for sale. I wouldn't want you to save your money, now, would I? 😀
You are right about the nose. But compared to other blank sculpts she is not instantly recognizable, but I guess that is what makes her so versatile. I am very glad you did, just think of the hole it might have burnt in my pocket :D-
It is true that larger dolls take up so much space! But congrats because Harace looks great! I can imagine, customs always scare me so much as well!
I can't wait to see how you paint her and customize her, actually!
Thank you :). My local customs officers are actually very nice, so once she's there it's a relief.
