Her parents couldn’t have picked a better name for Rosalie. She is a very sweet and gentle girl, loves pink, rose colors in all shades and everything that’s pretty. Rosalie is a very girly girl. She is a bit insecure at times, but fiercly protective of her little sister Theresa.
Rosalie is quick to tears over cruelty or injustice, harsh words or just little things like a broken toy. She doesn’t want to cry, she tears up much mor easily than she likes, which is one of the reasons for her insecurity. But she doesn’t back down or lament, she acts when she thinks she can fix what brought her to tears.

She is not only a loving and caring sister, caring for animals and plants is something she did even as a toddler. Her mom trusted her with the chickens and the herb garden when she was old enough to hold a watering pot. Rosalie has an eye for changes in appearance or behaviour that might point to some kind of desease, just as she has a talent for decoration.

And she loves dresses, ribbons, embellishments and ornaments, preferably what people call “cottage style”. She likes this kind of vintage, homely old fashioned decor. She likes to nest, and wether it’s an arrangement of flowerpots and some branches or a table setting: Rosalie can make it look like a picture from “homes&gardens” effortlessly. She just moves a few things around and adds this and that.

Rosalie and Antonia became good friends. As different as both girls are, they share a lot of interests. They are mostly at Rosalie’s, feeding the animals or just out in the garden playing crocket or badminton. Both their moms are happy their daughter found a friend who prefers to play outside, and Antonia’s mom is glad to know her girl is safe on the Arend’s property.
