Pumpkin fashion

I used this newly finished repaint for the #monday4dolls game, and since the theme of this week’s game was “pumpkin”, this is a pretty orange post.

She has the skin color to wear a dress that bright. She doesn’t have a name yet, but I think I’ll go with Carmen. She was a Fashionista #147, and swapped heads with a MTM Yoga girl (GXF05). I will add the before-after pictures of both girls at the end.

But now: time for pumpkin fashion! Unfortunately it was already getting dark when I took the last one, and had to do a little photoshopping. I am glad I got to use some of my orange cotton for her dress, most of my dolls are just not the type for this color.

And I unearthed the black hat my very first Fashionista (the traded girl) came with. I think it looks great with the rest of this black and orange orgy.

This is how she looked before:

She swapped heads-or rather bodies- with this girl. Lets call her Susie. Yes I know, I should get a bit more creative with the names for the repaints, but I just name them because MTMGXF05 doesn’t roll off the tongue easily ;-).  She is now on the Fashionista body. I did not only repaint her, I closed her mouth with a bit of carving. The light was very bad, she looks more tanned than she actually is.

  1. Hi Mia! Carmen has a lovely face, she has a sweet appearance. I love her in orange, and with the hat too. The swapped girl is very pretty too. She’s a Uma Thurman type now to me. 🙂 I wonder, if you say carving, do you just cut away some vinyl or is sanding paper involved as well?

    1. Thank you! I have some rubber carving tools (I believe they are originally wax carving tools, but the item description said rubber as well). It takes ages, but it doesn’t roughen up the surface. For harder materials like plastic I prefer scalpels, but for the Barbie vinyl they are great tools. So no sanding this time. 🙂
