Tattoos and temptations

A while ago Bianca and Doria arrived. They already have names, and I have a pretty good idea who they are. Or will be. I started to paint them, but they are not finished yet, so no introduction at this point.

But Bianca’s right arm is almost done and you’ll get a sneak peek of her ink. I have to say, although I love doing these ornamental designs, I prefer to do them in human size.

I am still working on her left arm, and maybe I should give her a face before she’s completely covered in ornaments :-).

And Raccoon has a 30% discount event sale. That was a temptation I couldn’t resist. Now I will get a Daisy I had not planned at all. She was on my wish list for ages. Too bad I missed the order period for Henry, I love his smile. Better for my finances, I guess. I think I will keep Daisy in her box until next year, and concentrate on my two latest arrivals for now.

Speaking of temptations: New characters in the house are a good excuse to buy fabric. They need clothes after all. I found some lovely embroidered white cotton, and some jersey with ornaments. They are a bit large for FID but I loved the colors and the patterns.

  1. The tattoo is beautiful, great work! Yes, a human arm must be better to work on, this looks like a fiddly job to do on such a small resin arm. 🙂 The fabrics are lovely as well.

  2. I can’t imagine working anything so detailed in such a small scale. Of course it will be fabulous once it’s done. Will you add color?

Glad you, too, succumbed to the Raccoon discount. I’m waiting on Rina. And like you, I wish I had ordered Henry. Maybe next year.

    1. I bought a pair of magnifying glasses you can wear over your normal glasses, and they are extremely helpful. She will get very colorful clothes, so her tattoos will stay just black. I am sure Raccoon will have another event with the limited dolls again, at least they had them in the past. And I am very happy commenting with your blogger name works for you again 🙂

  3. My heavens Mia, the tattooing is perfect! I don’t know how you manage to get the lines so straight.

I love your choice of fabrics too, and although I can see how the second one and perhaps even the third, would be inspirational for you, the white is my favourite, I have a soft spot for broderie anglais.
    Happy creating!!
    Big hugs,

    1. Thank you! Years of practice come in handy in this case. The white embroidered cotton will hopefully work for what I have in mind, boho style dresses for Doria.

  4. The tattoo looks amazing, I can’t wait to see final look of your doll. 🙂
I love my Daisy, I’m sure you will love yours. 🙂

    1. Thank you! I hope I can finish her this month. A lot of work at the moment and very little time for the dolls. Daisy is a beautiful sculpt, I have to go look at your’s again.
