With all the lovely FID couples kids would be the natural result, and for all those who want families FID-KIDs in proportion would be a wish come true.
I very much hope Iplehouse will consider releasing a new headsize for KIDs. The bodies look actually fine in proportion, the hands are a perfect KID/parent fit. All Iplehouse would need to do is offer a smaller head version along with the existing KID body.
This is FID Raffine with KID Lonnie. I think the body is a good proportional fit, just the head is far too large.
What I did is a little photoshopping. I scaled the head down to 90% of it’s original size. It still looks natural with the existing KID body, although the neck opening would need to be a bit larger to let the head slide further down the neck.
Same scaling, this time with a wig.
Normal KID size head and 90% head. It looks better with a shorter neck.
I will suggest this to Iplehouse and I hope they will consider it. If you can chose body versions for the dolls, why not offer head versions for the same body? After all they do have experience with scaling down heads, don’t they?
Good idea. They've already scaled down EIDs, SIDs, and nYIDs to FID size, so this should be a piece of cake. After all, they would only be going from a 6-7 wig size to a 5-6. Apparently they don't look at their dolls as families or it would have occurred to them.
It never occurred to me that they might not realize that people create families. But you are right of course. I would start ordering Kids again if they did scale them down.
Interesting topic Mia, I had never really thought about it before. Though I must admit there have been some dolls with head much larger than I expected. If anyone is going to do it I think Iplehouse will. 🙂 Good luck making your family!

The usual BJD comes with a head that's slightly too large, but the FID are more realistic in their proportions. Let's hope they will!
