Ying Yang – Xinyi repaint

I finished this girl even before Christie and Nora, but since Xinyi dolls are smaller and slimmer than Barbie, she needed some more clothes first. As it happens the #monday4dolls game’s theme for tomorrow is black and white. It’s a game started by Belladolls on Instagram. And my Xinyi (I named her Ivy) has a very white face and very black hair. But that wouldn’t be enough of course, so I made a black and white outfit to take the pictures.

First things first, the before- after picture. Original Xinyi doll faces have something sweet and quiet about them, and I tried to keep that quality.

  1. Oh I do like that black and white dress Mia! Reminds me a little of something “Cruella” would wear. 🙂

As for Xinyi herself, there is a wide eyed innocence about her, so I think you definitely captured the “sweet and quiet” you were after.
    Big hugs,

  2. You certainly captured her original aura of sweetness and serenity, awesome repaint job! I love how you did her eyes! The clothes are wonderful as well and really suit her, she’s lovely in the grey dress. What a fun challenge, you nailed the theme. 🙂

    1. Thank you! She has a very sweet face mold. It was fun to take the challenge as an inspiration. There’s a different theme every monday, but I just can’t keep up with all of them :D-

  3. Well, I loved your repaints, all of them. But this doll… she is just perfect. Her face is gorgeous, she is so gentle, so sweet. But also she’s got something in her eyes… Wow, I can’t take my eyes of her! *_*

    1. Thank you, I am glad you like her! I think she looks mysterious, and a bit otherworldly. As if there was a secret force beneath all that gentleness and fragility. And I like that there are not that many Xinyis around to get tired of the face.
