My Christmas present for you is an EID model body corset pattern. It’s just the pattern, no instructions. Ruben’s Christmas corset actually closes in the back, I attached the front pieces to a strip of black velvet with tiny studs. I would have loved to add matching pants and give him mesh stockings, but he would have needed high heels for those. And I didn’t have daylight time, that’s why I had to take the pictures using artificial light.

But of course the bunny didn’t go unnoticed, and the kids claimed it eventually. So you get a second helping of Easter pictures. All cute and not at all grumpy. Dots went for stripes – one of my friends made this little striped Easter bunny. Dots got the handmade bunny, but I ate the chocolate one that came with it. :). Thanks, Elke!

Tristania arrived in time for the next episode, and now she just wants to put her feet up and enjoy a bit of cuddling. They don’t have the room to themselves that often. The girls are up in Stella’s room doing girl stuff and Seraphine is playing cello in her room. The house smells of freshly baked bread and the firewood Ruben brought in earlier. It feels so much like home, warm, comfy and relaxing – they almost fall asleep on the couch…

Meanwhile I’ve been busy sticking to my plan to make something for the big dolls again. And since Ruben hasn’t gotten anything new for ages I picked him as the next in line.

Sewing for Ruben is always a bit difficult. He just doesn’t need any more black leather stuff, he already has basics and he’s so heavy that I don’t really feel comfortable handling him. I am always afraid to drop him or scratch his ink.

And since there are no festivals planned for me this year I thought Ruben might go instead. I decided he will get something in Boho style. Or is it Gipsy? I have no idea. Leander will get stuff in a similar style, but it’s not finished yet. This kind of Indie-rock festival clothing is not really Ruben’s style, but he’ll have to wear it anyway ;). He gets to wear an awful lot of jewelry, drop crotch pants and an embroidered vest, and I made bracelets to go with it. And I like the result. Even if Ruben thinks it’s too close to the things goa-techno fans are wearing, and he doesn’t like that kind of music at all. So he’s happily listening to heavy metal while sporting the indie-goa-gipsy-boho vibe outfit. I still tried to keep the colors Ruben-style subdued, even if Boho usually comes a bit more colorful. But Leander will get something more bold, promised.

First Corvin. I made a cable-knit sweater in cream white for him. He’s wearing suit pants from freedom teller with it.

Alasdair got a new sweater, too. He liked this jacquard knit, and it’s very warm and soft. But he forgot to set aside the glasses for the picture. He agreed to let me post it, he is not that vain, even though he normally doesn’t want to be photographed wearing them.

Leander borrowed one of Ruben’s sweaters, but it nearly drowned him. But he likes the colour and asked if I could make one in this tone for him. I guess I will.

Ruben got it back.

Neala is starting to wear shoes again. She usually spends the summer barefooted. Since the sun is still warm she decided a tunic and shawl will be enough for now.

Sophia felt inspired by the blue notes. She got a new cardigan and a dress made from left over fabric to go with it.

And Ruben needed a jacket, or another shirt. He got a shirt that also works as a jacket in brown corduroy. I would love to dress him in black, but I am afraid dark clothes will stain his ink. I already managed to chip something off his chest piece with the necklace.
