So I made some cardigans in different sizes. They are made from the same pattern, I just scaled it as needed. Seraphine got a new light blue cardigan. Unfortunately I didn’t notice that the iron was set too hot, which resulted in some brownish discoloration of the button border. I hope it will wash out.

Rosalie wanted her cardigan in pink (no surprise there). I added tiny pockets in the same fabric I chose for the sleeves. Antonia’s looks a bit wild with the pattern mix combined with the shirt, but she doesn’t mind. Somehow the shirt reminds me of Picasso.

I will make more for other dolls, but since I am currently knitting a sweater in human size for a change, it will take a little while before I get to them.

Tristania and Seraphine

The two of them plan a little party next week. Unnea came over to help with the preparations.

Solovet has a new shirt, and Peregrin doesn’t look particularly happy to pose with his mom. Probably a boy thing.

This cardigan is the very first cardigan I ever made. I knitted it before Tristania arrived, and before I had a chance to take measurements. The neckline is a bit weird, but it’s still warm and comfy.

It will take a little more time between posts in the next couple of weeks. After months of lock down I re-opened my shop last week. As much as I enjoy being back – I kind of miss the time I could spend on dolly projects. Where did the time go?

So I cut out a quick and simple dress, took all the sewing stuff out into the garden and set to work. I think I managed to get the first sunburn of the year… my nose looks very red. It’s just warm if you are in the sun, but as soon as you leave the sun it’s still really chilly. Since I am almost always cold I followed the sun – maybe the exposure was a bit too much :-D. Anyway, Seraphine has a new dress and is happy.

Seeing all the fabric the large girls complained bitterly. It’s true, since the fashion-doll sized girls are in the house I haven’t made anything new for the large dolls. Time to change that. Since I have more than enough for all I picked the grey flowery fabric to sew a very chaste summer dress for Seraphine. The muslin in the fabric picture will make for some nice tunics for the big girls.

Below is the second of three birthday-haul fabric parcels, one is still on the way. I accidentally ordered the grey flower fabric a second time – it was on my wish list and I forgot to delete it before putting everything on it in my cart. I am still waiting for one last parcel, but it’s still on the way. It’s from a shop in the UK and it will take a while, I guess.

If the quality of the fabric is as I hope it will be, I can finish writing my next blog post about my experiences with fabric online shopping for dolls and my favorite sources. No lace, no lace, I beg you. Rest assured, Mr Bennet, no lace, but it will be a rather long text, so enjoy all the pictures in this one.

And I finished the jacket for the red party dress. Ludivine is wearing it with the jacket or a red lace shirt. Since Roux claimed the crochet dress the dear Balljointedwoman made for my birthday, Ludivine snatched the fringed top.

Christmas preparations… The kids had a lot of fun.

I will try some new design ideas over the holidays, so don’t be surprised if the blog design changes or stuff doesn’t work temporarily.

I made this dress as a birthday present for a friend, and since she owns several Iples as well my girls could model for her.

But since I already had the pink fabric I made something pink for Unnea, who does prefer white. But the pink brings out her eye colour.

Seraphine asked me to take a picture of her with Alasdair, and since I haven’t made any pictures of him for quite some time I was glad for the reminder.
