Perdita is wrapping some last gifts for her friends.

This set of tiny house fronts is a Christmas gift from a customer. I am not sure if they’re hand made, I know his wife is a very creative person and she might have made them herself. Anyway, they look lovely with lights behind them and they’re just the right size to make a perfect Christmas decoration for Perdita. Thank you very much!

But now to the really important things :).

Do you remember my tiny bed room? I somehow forgot to continue working on it, but after I found a tiny lamp for the desk I thought it was time to do something with the room again.

The bed has a bed spread now. I am not sure if it isn’t too much of a color and pattern mix with the cushions and the rug. But I like how it looks, and Perdita seems to like it.

It’s getting dark early. Probably one of the things I hate most about this time of year. I found this little lamp in one of my prop boxes, very nice to brighten up the evening.

I will take more pictures of the tiny bed room soon, I am just waiting for the next sunny Sunday to show you all the details. Let there be light, and warmth and colorful bed spreads!

The pink azalea was a rescue plant, I found it almost dead in a very small pot in a hardware store dump. It survived and grew quite a bit since then.

I had a lovely surprise thanks to my own forgetfulness. I must have planted magenta tulip bulbs last year, but I completely forgot them.

I don’t want to overdose the sweets. And I can hardly manage to find the bit of light I need to take pictures.

First more bib overalls. Milka wanted one with a bunny on the bib pocket. I added a pants cuff in light pink to match the bib. Toffee got a brownish one. I unpicked the little white bows with beads again and added buttons instead. Somehow the bows didn’t fit with her character, don’t you think? I feel like these girls need clothes that show attention to detail without being too frilly. I just noticed in the pictures that Milka’s overalls look a bit crumply around the waist. I forgot to take off her panties first.

Next up dresses. Toffee in plain knit stripes and Milka in a green dress with lace straps and a sewn-on heart as a “bib”.

This white dress isn’t really a dress, it’s an apron, but I add it to complete the sewn-on hearts show.

And last but not least: These little ones make lovely siblings for Perdita, they have matching head/body proportions.

I hope you are not bored yet with the cuteness, I have made so many dresses and there are still repaints to come.

And my local drugstore handed out these little sledges as a Christmas giveaway. They are too small for most of my dolls, but it’s a nice prop anyway.

I received this lovely gift from Linda, thank you so much! She made Christmas stockings for Esmée and Viveca. The girls didn’t tell me what they plan to put in it, but I am sure they will find nice surprises for each other.

Perdita did finish her shawl! It turned out really nice for her first attempt, and now she wears it all the time, even in the house.

And I received my Christmas surprise for her just in time: Lovely tiny boots. She will probably share them with the little Monst girls, they can wear the same size.

Little things to enjoy, despite the strange times we live in.

I painted it and added the counter, the tiny storage unit and the rest of the furniture. The tiny coffee maker, food items and the mugs are from Microworld Store (Aliexpress shop with loads of food and kitchen stuff). I found a lot of free printable food packaging images and created a board on Pinterest to collect them, just in case you are interested.

I just need to find a way to illuminate both windows- the sky light and the big window. And I guess the small rooms need their own picture format- they just don’t fit well into my usual templates. A lot of the things in this room (and the room itself) are self made. The wash stand, towel racks, the tub fittings, towels, the window shade and bath mat are designed and made by my own (now chapped) hands. You’ll find a list of the bought props at the end of this post.

This room is supposed to be a quiet retreat for a relaxing bath, unhurried morning routines, sunlight and scents.

The floor boards creak a little. There’s a tree nearby, so add bird song to the ambient noise. It smells like warm wood, lavender, Laura’s favorite carnation scented soap and fresh towels.

And since this is still a shared tiny home, the bath is shared as well.

Bought props:

The (free) 3D toilet template from Badgerfashion on thingyverse, kindly printed by a friend. A bath tub (soap dish) and a tiny dollhouse lamp from Amazon. The basin is a “Lavabo clipbox”, this one as well as the tiny set of toiletries on the wash stand counter are from MICRO WORLD store on Aliexpress.

I am working on so many things at the same time that I start to feel slightly confused. So you get bits of this and that, and I can keep track of the progress by posting what I have made.

First of all: Area rug. I wanted an area rug for my kitchen make-over, and since it’s really easy to make a small loom I decided to weave it.

It’s basically just a piece of cardboard, the warp is about 8 cm (3.15″) wide. My weaving shuttle is one of those face mask nose wires. I would have been able to work much quicker with a handloom with heddle bar, but I don’t have one, so over-under-over-under it is. I’ve never attempted weaving before, but I have seen how it works. I am quite happy how my area rug turned out. I just need to cut the fringes evenly. There are some slight irregularities in width, mostly because my warp lost tension after a while. I will apply what I have learnt next time.

I also finished a shirt for Roux.

And one of the dogs I ordered arrived. I saw this Husky on Kamelia’s blog and loved it. I still have a bulldog, a greyhound and a Shiba Inu on the way, all found here.

And look what I found! It’s a ceramic soap dish. It has “Bain de Paris” written on one side, but the other side is plain white. This will look very nice in my future bath room. It doesn’t have a hole (which is probably not that great if your soap gets soaked, and probably the reason why it came at a reduced price). So you can actually fill it with water. There was a really big one in plastic on Amazon, but this one has just the right size to fit nicely into a small room, even if this doll can only sit in it.

And last but not least: A paper clip holder from AliExpress that makes a perfect 1/6 washbasin (Google Lavabo clipbox) and the printed thingyverse– toilet made by badgerfashion. I asked the friend who kindly printed it to adjust the seat height to 7,5cm. I am not sure how that works, but apparently it wasn’t a problem. This is how it came, I just need to sand it a little bit and maybe paint it. Seat and lid can be opened separately, and the water tank is a separate piece as well.

This will probably be the last post for this year, and I’ll take the opportunity to wish you a good start into 2022.

Another gift was the little wooden horse. Perdita loves it.
