So I made some cardigans in different sizes. They are made from the same pattern, I just scaled it as needed. Seraphine got a new light blue cardigan. Unfortunately I didn’t notice that the iron was set too hot, which resulted in some brownish discoloration of the button border. I hope it will wash out.

Rosalie wanted her cardigan in pink (no surprise there). I added tiny pockets in the same fabric I chose for the sleeves. Antonia’s looks a bit wild with the pattern mix combined with the shirt, but she doesn’t mind. Somehow the shirt reminds me of Picasso.

I will make more for other dolls, but since I am currently knitting a sweater in human size for a change, it will take a little while before I get to them.

Tristania and Seraphine

The two of them plan a little party next week. Unnea came over to help with the preparations.

First goes Calliope. She has a new pink muslin dress with a pinafore made from one of my findings. I grabbed it with other fabric pieces to sew face masks for kids, it wasn’t intended for doll clothes. But Calliope liked the little bunnies, so she’s happy.

For some reason I never really found the right eye size for her. I love the sparkly gold green, but they are too big and don’t photograph well, at least not when I am attempting it. Maybe I should look for some eyes for her again.

The next one is Solovet with a new skirt and shirt. The pattern is really rather large, but it works surprisingly well with her otherwise rather functional style. I will use this for Raccoon pants as well, I think.

And I found this leather vest. I made it eight or nine years ago for Tristania, when she was still on her original SID body. It doesn’t fit her now, so Vasilissa took her chance and claimed it.

Vasilissa in blue for a change. I was surprised how well the color suits her. It’s one of those shared dresses, and I put it on her for fun.

Last but not least one of the smaller girls. Judith hasn’t been in front of the camera for a while, too.

Solovet has a new shirt, and Peregrin doesn’t look particularly happy to pose with his mom. Probably a boy thing.

This cardigan is the very first cardigan I ever made. I knitted it before Tristania arrived, and before I had a chance to take measurements. The neckline is a bit weird, but it’s still warm and comfy.

One of my bad habits is to buy more fabric when I already have enough to outfit an army. But the big girls want some new summer outfits, and this muslin was just so lovely…

It will take a little more time between posts in the next couple of weeks. After months of lock down I re-opened my shop last week. As much as I enjoy being back – I kind of miss the time I could spend on dolly projects. Where did the time go?

My printer doesn’t like photo paper, so I had to use regular paper to print it. Maybe I’ll try a pin version glued to a huge press button next ;).
